Our 30,000th Visitor Contest - Poems

SKEETER: Well, we got a bunch of poems! We narrowed it down to the top 5.

They are:

From One Eyed Jack:
 
Skeeter, Skeeter, toona eater,
Has the greatest toona feeder.
He had a plate and licked it clean
A cleaner plate you’ve never seen.
 
and
 
All around the Cat Blogosphere
LC chased the froggie.
LC thought 'twas all in fun.
Plop! goes the froggie!
 
and
 
The Itsy Bitsy Ayla
Climbed up the ladder high;
Down came the rain
And made Ayla slide;
Out came the sun
And dried up all the rain;
And the itsy bitsy Ayla
Climbed up the steps again.

Ode to 30,000 Visitors

It started with 1
Then we saw  2
Day after day they grew
Then we had 1000
form there to 10,000
Oh my we were good to have so many come
And come and come and come
And then there were 20,000
We posted and posted and posted some more
We had pictures and stories and Ayla came, too
We test tasted food and mousies from outside
And had lots of fun
Now we are 30,000 plus
40,000 here we come!!

There once was two kittys named Skeeter and LC
They has shared their blog for the world to see
When they reached 30,000 visitors they let us all know
That a big contest they were having and planing to show
The best graphics and poems made by some furiends
That shows them the love that never ends.

Skeeter is a hunter extraordinaire.
When he teaches I attend with great care.
He's the king of the claws.
Let's clap with our paws!
Critters in his yard be aware!!

LC is a beauty in black and white.
She's known to also give quite a fight!
Her blood isn't listenin'
Let's give it a dissin'
So she can feel furry alright!

A poem in honor of Skeeter & LC’z 30,000th Vizytor

Dey are bloggerz extra-or-di-naire:
Skeeter, LC & Ayla da Princess so fair.
Deze kitteez iz pleezed wit dere bloggy
evfun when rainz makes dere pics all foggy.
I sure hopes I yam da big sqwillionth vizytor
(Sure soundz better den da Spainish Inquisitor!)
And I hopes I winz dat big important prize-
If it’s ham it’ll be grand,
If it’s tuna I’ll pick it up soona!
If it’s a mouse, just send it to da house.
So let’s all have a round & raize our glasses to da sky,
Fur da bloggie of Skeeter, LC, & Ayla da Princess on high.
(Oooops… I tinks I haz a (hic!) speck of ham on my thigh!)

It was a real hard decision. Shadow/Molly/Troo and Samantha/Mr Tigger both mentioned our 30,000 visitors. Goldie and Shade captured our hearts with the individual mentions of things we like best. And One Eyed Jack set his poems to songs. All were so great. Dr Tweety spoke in his unique way that we all love.

We wish we could sent prezzies to all of them!

But, a decision must be made. It was SO close! Skeeter voted fer one, LC fer another! After readin and re-readin the poems, Ayla finally cast the decidin vote. So we are awarding the "Best Poem" ta Samantha and Mr Tigger.

Their poem included our 30,000 visitors, Ayla's arrival, and other parts of our blog. Thank you all for participating!!! We really did love ALL the poems!

We will send The Big Thing out ta get the cool stuff fer the prize tommorrow...
